Chimney Sweeping

Chimneys come in all shapes and sizes. The internal part of the chimney does differ as well, so you can’t sweep all the flues with the same type of brush. We carry all types of brush so that we can sweep any type of chimney. We will always report any issues as well. Also, the fireplace is screened off and a vacuum machine is connected to the screen so there isn’t a mess while sweeping the chimney.

We also undertake camera surveys and remove nests.

CCTV Inspections

With today’s technology, we believe in the importance of investing in the latest CCTV camera equipment, which will accurately identify faults and blockages. Afterwards, you will be provided you with visual footage and a detailed report of the survey.

The camera is pushed or driven along the pipe, while the engineer watches a coloured picture on the TV monitor. The advantage of a CCTV drain report is that it can diagnose any potential problem below ground or above ground, in areas that are not readily accessible. Also, we offer drainage reports to homebuyers.

If you are thinking about purchasing a property and wish to have the drainage system checked, a report can be produced before making that final decision. CCTV cameras are incredibly useful for Drain Inspections and CCTV Drain Surveys, as we are able to get into the deepest parts of the drain.

Caps and Cowls

These are items placed on chimneys to prevent nesting, protect against rain, prevent down draughts, guard against blockages causing carbon monoxide problems or to safeguard disused chimneys from birds and/or vermin.

Fitting the correct type of cage, cowl or cap is very important. Thanks to years of experience, our sweeps will assess the requirements and recommend the correct type for your particular situation.

Our sweeps usually have sample cowls in their vans to show you, and in most cases they will also be able to advise you on the cost. The price is affected by the property location, the type and number of cowls or cages required, but also by any potential access problems – we need to see the chimney location before we can confirm prices to you.

Nest Removal

It’s important to make sure Bird Nests are in safe locations and areas. It can be very dangerous for Nests to be on roofs incase of slippage from rain.

That’s why its best to move them to safer locations such as in trees. We can help you remove birds nests & wasp nets that are causing a hazard.

Treating a wasp nest is usually a straightforward operation. Wasps nests at height can add a degree of difficulty, but most can be accessed from steps or ladders. Occasionally access into a loft may be required, but 98 percent of wasp nests are treated from outside. Once a nest has been treated it normally takes two hours to calm down, and it should be completely quiet the next day.

Children and pets should be kept away from active wasp nests at all times.
